Whether training students for a career in food at the Stratford Chefs School or sharing tips during hands-on cooking classes for home cooks, these culinary mentors are always striving to bring the best to you.

Under the guidance of the School’s faculty of acclaimed local chefs and guest chefs from Canada and around the world, students produce dishes worthy of the world’s best restaurants. Since its founding in 1983, the School has graduated more than 800 alumni who now contribute to our distinctive Canadian cuisine.

Professional Program & Dining Series
Between October and March, the Stratford Chefs School is proud to offer a celebrated Dinner Series. For this event, students prepare and serve innovative four- to six-course dinner menus for the public, under the tutelage of professional chefs from our community and across Canada.
Dinner is served Tuesday to Saturday while school is in session. The Dinner Series is an essential part of the Students’ experiential training, enabling them to gain real-world experience in a professional kitchen.
In Stratford, good food is a part of our essence, and you can taste the students’ passion with every meal. Come take part in their journey and experience some extraordinary dining.

SCS Prix Fixe Dinners To Go
Looking to enjoy the culinary arts from home or your hotel? No problem. The Stratford Chefs School now offers their classic multi-course Dinners TO GO, in addition to Dine-In, during the School year (October – March).
TO GO Menus are adapted from the nightly prix fixe Dine-In menu. Each meal is prepared by different students every evening under one of the Chef Instructors. Simply pre-pay for your pick up order online and savour a fantastic dinner at home.

Learn professional cooking tips and techniques with Chef Eli’s video instruction, then savour your two or three course Finish-at-Home Meal kit!
Chef Instructor Eli Silverthorne has planned the menus and will do all the prep; you just have to do the finishing steps. All the chef-prepped, pre-measured, farm-to-table ingredients you need are packed in the kit. A detailed downloadable recipe booklet with full instructions and video tutorials are provided.
Chef Eli’s video instruction will show you how to finish and plate your meal. Prep is easy too, with pre-recorded video instructions. Why not show off your fresh, new cooking skills?
Try making Greek or Japanese cuisine, explore the flavours of Thai Curry, learn to make Panzanella, or fire up the grill for a Steak or the Ultimate Burger! A Sourdough Starter kit is also available, hop on that at-home baking bandwagon with ease.
The 2021 Open Kitchen @ Home event schedule has something for every palate, preference and learning style! Offerings include simple 2 course Quick Meal Kits and an International Series of 3 course menu kits
