Description:
Participants will learn the art of “throwing” on the wheel, starting with a basic cylinder & bowl. These cylinders and bowls can then be altered into many different shapes and functions. You will learn to trim your pieces, decorate and finish your work with beautiful glazes.
Students will also receive a brief introduction to handbuilding when adding handles and altering basic, thrown shapes. Examples of altered forms: citrus juicer, appetizer tray, chip & dip platter, vase, berry bowl, butter dish, and so much more!
No experience necessary, all levels welcome.
By the end of 6 weeks you will have a minimum of 8-10 pieces to take home.
Your pieces will be ready for pickup within 4-6 weeks of your last class date.
Please note: Makeup classes are not available due to our limited space, the structured nature of the program schedule, and the need to maintain consistency and quality across all sessions. This policy ensures that all participants receive a uniform learning experience and allows instructors to focus on delivering the highest standard of instruction without disruption. We appreciate your understanding and support.
