Come to Stratford early and stay late! Construction delays may be significant in summer 2019 so be sure not to miss out on any fun!

Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Established in 2010 by novelist/forager Peter Blush, Puck's Plenty Foraging Tours has steadily gained worldwide recognition not only as a unique adventure into Nature but also for it's "wild" contribution to the Culinary Community. In 2015 Travel & Leisure Magazine listed Puck's Plenty as one of the "Top Food Foraging Spots in the World". Then, this past January, Marriott International included the tours as one of the "Top 10 Adventures to have this Summer (2017)". Added to that, in the December 2016 issue of Wine and Dine Magazine (Singapore) Puck's Plenty was featured in an article about wild food along with such notable restaurants as Noma (rated one of the best restaurants in the world), Native Restaurant (Covent Gardens, London, England), Parallel 37 (Ritz Carlton, San Francisco), and the Willows Inn (Lummi Island, Washington State). Owner Peter Blush has been featured on The Oprah Network's Fearless In The Kitchen with celebrity chef Christine Cushing, The Global Morning News, What's Up Stratford, and more recently, a cameo appearance on the comedy show, The D. J. Demers Show.

The name, Puck's Plenty, was derived from Puck, a character in the play, A Midsummer's Night Dream by William Shakespeare, our own tribute to Stratford's world renowned Shakespeare Festival.

Puck's Plenty opens a door into Nature's Garden of Wild Edibles where participants collect and sample plants and mushrooms that have been there for the ages. Originally meant as an outdoor trek only, we have discovered how these delicacies have their place in Stratford's growing culinary movement. Besides our regular foraging events, we now offer seven special events a year featuring a two and a half hour trek on beautiful forest trails, returning to Stratford for an upscale meal of wild edibles in season as well as locally brewed craft beer and wines from the Niagara Region.

Don’t miss the fun due to construction delays!

“Stratford itself is the type of walkable wholesome town Rodgers and Hammerstein might write a musical about.”
