Join us on Saturday, October 14, 2023 in the parkland near the York St. parking lot at 6:30 p.m. for a procession along the Avon River through a magical realm of lights.

​Most aspects of the Lantern Festival are FREE but please bring cash since some activities require a donation.

Event Details:

The Gathering:

Bring your lantern and join us in the parkland east of the York St. parking lot between 6:30and 7:30 pm.

Donate to receive a PRE-MADE LANTERN and accessories

Create or decorate a LAST MINUTE LANTERN

Enjoy live MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT

The Procession:

At 7:30 pm the procession of lanterns will set out along the riverbank

Follow the spheres of fairy light along the riverside

Enjoy the display by Light Up the Night kayakers

​

The Celebration:

The procession will end at Tom Patterson Island

Create a personalized WISH LANTERN and float it on the Avon River

Visit the WALL of LIGHT created by local students

Enjoy MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT by a variety of local artists

Take a selfie at the amazing 360 PHOTO BOOTH

REFRESHMENTS will be available
