The Art of Ideas Gallery and Historical House Guided Tour
The Art of Ideas Gallery and Historical House is open for guided tours on Saturday and Sunday, between May and October. There are two tours per day, one at 10:30am and the other at 2:30pm.
To ensure that your visit is enjoyable, entertaining and, above all safe for everyone we ask that you review the guidelines and information below prior to your visit.
It is important visitors stay with the tour guide at all times. The visit takes 45- 60 minutes and includes a guided tour of the house, a chance for visitors to meet the artist and hear a presentation from him. Once the interior tour is done visitors are welcome to take a stroll through the garden.
Admission is $20 and includes all taxes and charges. Tickets must be purchased in advance using Eventbrite. No drop-ins or tickets at the door. Space is limited to 10 visitors, 12 years old and up.
Please arrive 5 -10 minutes before your scheduled tour for check-in. We are unable to accommodate late arrivals.
Please travel light while visiting – no food, water, large bags, strollers, and other non-essential items.
This is a private home with no architectural changes since the 1870s when it was built, and with stunning original woodwork and floors. No high heels, please wear flats shoes. The house is not wheelchair accessible and there are no public washrooms.
Photography and video are not permitted inside the house. You are however welcome to capture the stunning exterior.
Touching the artwork or objects on display is not permitted. The space is a smoke free building.
Tickets are non-refundable and non transferable.
Do I need to show proof of vaccination? No. As of March 1, 2022 this requirement is no longer in effect.
Am I required to wear a mask? No. Effective March 21, 2022, masks are optional in most indoor public settings, which includes museums and art galleries.
