Puck’s Plenty Foraging – Pheasant Back
One of the first edible mushrooms to appear in the Spring is the Pheasant Back, also known as Dryad’s Saddle. Harvested when young, their taste resembles a mild, sweet cucumber. These fungi can be eaten raw or sauteed. Moreover, they can be dried and round into a powder for spicy seasoning. Along with these enticing fungi we will be harvesting wild leeks, trout lily leaves, garlic mustard, and more.
