Puck’s Plenty Foraging – Crown Tipped Coral – SOLD OUT
These delicate mushrooms appear from early Summer to mid-November and are found on well rotted hardwood. It’s best to harvest them when they are white as they tend to turn bitter with age. They sautee very quickly but serve as a wonderful garnish to most meals especially fish. It is best to check their fragrance first as there are some “smelly” look-alikes that grow on the ground. You want to avoid these.
It’s the time of year when the mushrooms are kicking in. Summer Oysters, Platterfuls, Angel Wings, Dryad Saddles, not to forget a wide variety of wild edible plants.
