Drop In Children’s Programs
Morning programs are geared toward pre-schoolers and afternoon programs toward school-aged children but all ages are welcome at all programs.
STEAM Team Challenge March 13 – 2pm-4pm
Bring a team or join a team for the STEAM Team Challenge! Share your ideas as you experiment, invent, and create your way through challenges involving science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Teams who complete the STEAM Team Challenge will receive special recognition on the STEAM Team Trophy!
All ages are welcome at this drop-in program that takes place in the Library Auditorium.

Whale of a Tale March 13 – 6:30pm-7:00pm
Looking for ways to make learning to read a playful and fun experience for the whole family? Join Trish in the Library Auditorium Monday evenings at 6:30 pm for stories, songs, literacy games, and all kinds of fun!

Imagination Station March 15 – 10:30am-11:30am
Imagine a place where you could create whatever you want to make, be whatever you wanted to be, and explore in ways that make sense to you alone.
This program encourages you to think outside of the box, and to play with boxes too! When you come to Imagination Station, you will have the opportunity to engage with creative, sensory, and building materials. Imagine the fun that you will have!

Shake up your week with Movers & Shakers, the perfect program for your energetic and curious kids. Join Beth as she leads us in a storytime packed with songs, dances, interactive storytelling, and play-based activities.

Board Game Blitz March 16 – 2pm-4pm
Learn to play board games like Crokinole, Yahtzee, and Checkers, or make up your own! Bring your friends or meet some here for an afternoon of fun and creativity.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover March 16 – 6:30pm-7:30pm
What kind of trouble can a stuffie get into overnight at the library? We’re about to find out!
At this special storytime, children will get their stuffed animal friend ready for bed by leading them through songs, dances, and stories. Then, they’ll tuck them in and leave them to spend the night at the library. That evening, check SPL’s Facebook page to see photos of all the stuffies’ shenanigans!

*When choosing a stuffed animal for a sleepover, it is best to choose one that won’t be terribly missed at bedtime. Stuffies can be picked up at our PJ Party on Friday morning.
PJ Party March 17 – 10:30am-11:30am
No need to get dressed today because we’re having a PJ Party at the library! Monkeys will be jumping, bunnies will be hopping, dinosaurs will be snoring and kids will be having a blast! We’ll start with a storytime and finish with some activities & crafts.
