March Break Camp Days: Kids’ Pottery
Teacher: Mary Cameron
Bring your kids to get creative and dirty and have a ton of fun doing it!
Our March break workshops are a great way to test the waters and see if making pottery is something they’ll love.
Wednesday Morning, 9:30-noon – Wheel Throwing
Wednesday Afternoon, 1:30-4 – Wheel Throwing
Thursday Morning, 9:30-noon – Wheel Throwing (for full day clay adventurers)
Thursday Afternoon, 1:30-4 – Nature Friends
Join us for the full day on Thursday or just for the afternoon to make a nature friend to hang out in your room or to brighten up your garden.
Our teacher Mary has prepared some cute samples of what the kids could make – a sloth planter, a garden worm, a dragon. The only limitation is the kids’ imaginations! They can make any animal they’d like.
If you choose to sign up for the full day on Thursday your child will stay with us over the lunch hour. We will eat lunch at the studio, then head for a walk over to explore the river flats. If the weather does not cooperate, we have some other tricks up our sleeve to have some fun! Please bring your own lunch.
Minimum age of 8 years old for all workshops.
No experience necessary.
If you have signed up for any of the wheel workshops, please bring a small towel or apron. Short nails are very helpful. Most of all be prepared to have fun and get messy!
The art they make during the workshops will be glazed and fired in our kilns. They will be ready for pick up approx. 4 weeks later.
Cost: $60 per workshop or $110 for full day Thursday
