As the days get cooler and the nights get longer, join us in creating exciting willow and tissue paper lanterns with artist and educator, Henry Melissa Gordon! Attendees will start by experimenting with simple lantern forms, then proceeding to design, construct, and experiment with surface colour and patterns to make wild and unique lanterns. Once completed, LED candles will give the lanterns a beautiful glow. All materials provided.

This is a class series. Eventbrite’s calendar only displays tickets for Day 1 (Sun Oct 15), however a ticket purchase will grant the ticketholder entry to the entire class series. Please plan to attend all four classes.

Day 1 (Sun Oct 15): Make a basic lantern, experiment with willow and tissue.

Day 2 (Sun Oct 22): Make a 3D star lantern, add colour and pattern.

Day 3 (Sun Oct 29): Design and begin making your unique lantern.

Day 4: (Sun Nov 5) Complete your lantern, add colours and decorative features.
