Workshop # 1
General Description:

This workshop is designed to activate the creativity of your own picture making. You’ll harness the power of expressive techniques and learn some less conventional aspects of photography.

This course is for intermediate and advanced photographers. As long as you have a good understanding of how to make a good exposure in a camera (how to use shutter, aperture and ISO together), this is a good fit for you.

All techniques are done in camera, there will be no pixel based manipulation programs like photoshop involved.

Date & Time: October 15 (Sat.), October 19 (Wed.), October 22 (Sat.) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Afternoon

Over three sessions, you’ll learn expressive image making techniques (session 1), ways to add drama to your images (session 2) and gain understanding of storytelling principles (session3). In short, with this knowledge, you’ll become a better photographer.

Workshop Instructor Biography:

The workshop is led by Juozas Cernius, a photographer, filmmaker and communications consultant with extensive international experience (37 countries to date). With a foundation in fine art, his passion is to elevate projects thoughtfully and imaginatively while creating emotionally resonating content for diverse audiences. He has developed content for some of the world’s largest and most impactful organizations such as the Red Cross, The United Nations, the World Wildlife Fund, Dell, Samsung, Save the Children, World Bank, The Guardian, and many other organizations making the world a better place.
