Father’s Day Foraging
“Okay, so where are the featured plants and mushrooms??” Hold on a minute. We just thought how fortunate it was that Father’s Day coincided with the highpoint of the Nettle season. The plants are four to five feet tall, leaves are large. Sure, the stingers are there but all you need are gloves and you’re ready to make some of the best recipes Mother Nature has to offer. Including Nettle Beer! There’s a field of them ready to be picked. And, of course, we’ll be handing out recipes.
The trails will also provide us with Oyster Mushrooms, Pheasant Backs, Wild Watercress . . . the list goes on.
Start time: 10:00 am
