Drop N Swap: Books
Thu, Oct 19 5pm to Sat, Oct 21 2023, 4pm
Join SPL’s sustainability effort to keep unwanted items out of our landfill – drop off a book, and swap it for something you may treasure! Free to drop, free to “shop” – no money exchanged at all, no dropping necessary for swapping! Part of the Ontario Public Library Week suite of activities at SPL!
How it works:
The DROP | Oct 19 (5-8) & Oct 20 (10-4): Drop off your clean, lovely, but no-longer-wanted books on Thurs Oct 19 (5-8) or Fri 20 (10-4). When you donate items, you will receive an “early bird” voucher for the swap the following day.
The SWAP | Oct 21 (10:30-4): Come pick out new items! You do not need to donate to participate but those who do will be admitted to the “early bird” timeslot from 10:00-10:30 AM. General admission is from 10:30-4.
*Please bring your own bags or boxes to carry your items home in
**Leftover items will be donated to Goodwill, and partnering organizations
What to bring: Items that are in fine to very fine condition including children’s books
Not accepting: Anything musty, stained, ripped, or falling apart.
