AI & Hiring for Small Business
Hiring has always been one of the hardest parts of running a small business. AI has changed it again, and not always for the better.
Your candidates are using AI to write their résumés and cover letters. Many of those tools read your job posting, social media posts, and website first to tailor the application. That means what you put online shapes who applies, whether you meant it to or not. At the same time, a growing number of AI platforms promise to screen candidates automatically. Some are useful. Others are built on pattern matching that quietly bakes in bias, and a few likely run afoul of human rights protections in Canada.
Join Avery Swartz, tech educator, bestselling author, and founder of Camp Tech, for a practical evening on hiring well in the age of AI. Avery will show you how these tools actually work, where they help, and where they cause harm. Expect real examples, live demonstrations, and plenty of time for your questions.
