Theatrical Carpentry

Strong theatrical carpentry skills are essential to creating sets and props that capture the theatre goers imagination.‹  Instructor Jeremy Cox

  • Interpret set designs and develop working drawings from them.

  • Explore and practice basic carpentry skills: measuring, cutting, shaping, fitting and fastening.

  • Train in the safe and effective use of power tools and equipment.

  • Experiment with a variety of construction materials and methods.

  • Build basic set pieces such as flats, stage decking, windows, doors and sculptural elements. 

  • Explore more three-dimensional carpentry techniques.

  • Create challenging set pieces such as curved flats, wheels, functioning doors and windows.

Cost: $495/Per person
