Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Music For An Avon Morning with Rosebud Chamber Players and Lori Gemmel - Stratford Summer Music

What could be better than watching the beautiful sunrise of a Stratford morning? Hearing Haydn’s famous “Sunrise” Quartet at the same time! The Rosebud Chamber Players (from Canada’s “other” theatre town – Rosebud, Alberta) perform this timeless classic at 7AM along the shores of the Avon.   

Complimentary refreshments, courtesy Tim Hortons, are served from 6:30am at the bridge to the Island before the commencement of this program.  Please bring your own re-usable coffee mugs!

Quiet, please on the Island.  Please bring pets on leashes.

* New this year! Rise and Shine with a silently lead Modo Yoga practice to the sounds of beautiful music and surrounded by the Avon River on Tom Patterson Island. This class is wonderful for all levels and will be physically lead by the instructor so as not to distract from the beautiful sights and sounds you will experience during this practice. No experience necessary. All are welcome.
