Come to Stratford early and stay late! Construction delays may be significant in summer 2019 so be sure not to miss out on any fun!

Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Open Kitchen | Get Cooking! | Flavours of the Mediterranean: Italy

For centuries Italy consisted of separate republics, each with different culinary (cooking) customs. These varying cooking practices, which were passed down from generation to generation, contributed to the diversity of Italian cuisine. Italy's neighboring countries, including France, Austria, and Yugoslavia, also contributed to differences in the country's cuisine.

Italian cuisine combines the health benefits of a Mediterranean diet with a wide choice of seasonal ingredients and regional flavours that were passed down for centuries from generation to generation. Explore the wonderfully diverse and delicious world of Italian food during this series dedicated to the flavours of the Mediterranean. After the cooking is complete with instructor Eli Silverthorne, take off your apron and savour the results of your labour with a glass of Italian wine. Perfect for the beginner to intermediate home cook.

Recipes:

  • From Scratch Lasagna
  • Proper Caesar Salad
  • Chicken Piccata
  • Risotto
  • “Tiramisu”
