Early Spring Foraging with Puck's Plenty

Along with Wild Leeks Trout Lilies are one of the first ground covers to appear in Early Spring. As we enter one of the sections of the Avon Trail there is a massive bed of these wounderful plants to the left and right of the path. The bed is actually hundreds of years old. Eaten raw the Trout Lily leaves have a mild sweet taste that is excellent in salads while all parts of the plant can be used to make a healthy wild tea.

Our foraging trek will also include Wild Leeks, Japanese Knotweed and more.
