Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Stratford Lantern Parade

The second annual Lantern Parade celebrates Stratford's community spirit! Bring your family, friends and neighbours for a magical stroll along the riverbank to Tom Patterson island, where you may choose to explore the mysterious lantern labyrinth and float a wish lantern down the river. Children and pets welcome!

Arrive at Tom Patterson island between 6:30 pm and 7:15 pm to enjoy a lantern labyrinth and release a wish lantern down the river at 7:15 pm. Then Parade along the river to Market Square will begin at 7:30 pm. The finale and reception at Market Square starts at 7:45 pm with a free screening of 'Kubo and the Two Strings' to follow at City Hall Auditorium at 8:30 pm, in partnership with Queen of the Square.

This event is wheelchair accessible.
