Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Cross Country Ski at Musselman/Schneiders Wood with The Avon Trail

9 am - 1 pm. Distance: 5-6km. Pace: Medium. Terrain: Moderate-Challenging. Duration: 3-4 hours (1.5 travel; 2 skiing).

Meeting: EB Games, Festival Mall (1067 Ontario St., Stratford, N5A 6W6 )

Time: 8:45AM arrival & organization. 9 AM sharp departure to car pool to starting point. OR meet at 9:45AM at trail head Km 86.9 on Carmel-Koch Rd. Return to Stratford by 1 PM.

Hike Route Overview: This venue boasts superb cross-country ski trails with lots of hills, open spaces and woodland trails. Not suitable for beginner skiers. Participants must have own skis. Note: trails are reserved for skiers only; no snowshoes! Optional: lunch together in St. Agatha following a brisk ski.

Recommendations: Pack a snack, lunch and water. Dress for weather. In case of poor snow conditions, check www.avontrail.ca/Announcements for alternate date announcement.
