Stratford Garlic Festival

Celebrating the array of Ontario garlic and garlic products, the sixth annual Stratford Garlic Festival takes place on Saturday, September 8th, from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday, September 9th, 2012, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Stratford Garlic Festival features live music and a Garlic Market where you can talk to local garlic growers, check out garlic-inspired items and taste the garlic-inspired food from around the world! Over two days there are celebrity cooking presentations, garlic braiding demonstrations, discussions about the history of garlic and even advice on how to grow your own garlic! On Saturday, September 8th, starting at 6 pm, the Glorious Garlic Dinner/Dance will feature a delectable gourmet meal designed by Chef Ian MacArthur, dancing and a fantastic silent auction (tickets are $85/person and must be purchased in advance, please call 519-271-1910 to reserve). Sunday at high noon, come watch as Chef Aaron Linley of Bijou defends his title against Chef Yva Santini of Pazzo for the title of "Garlic Chef"! Come eat, smell, learn and enjoy!

Come on out to Stratford and taste, smell, listen and learn! Admission is only $5. This event is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Stratford and all proceeds go to support various local charities.
