Suzanne Turnbull.

In her early teens, Suzie discovered two life long passions: food and theatre.

Under the tutelage of her mother, a nutritionist and dietician, she learned the joy of cooking and the age old art of preserving the goodness of fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Suzie's interest in theatre lead to an ongoing career as director, designer, teacher, coach, administrator and researcher at theatres and universities from coast to coast..

As she traveled, delicious preserves magically appeared from stoves, ovens and hot plates across the country and were met with rave reviews from friends and colleagues.

In 2007, Suzie decided to set up a business to reach a wider audience. Her Stratford kitchen became home to pickles eh!

This summer, Suzie invites you into her kitchen to share her two passions.

"Pickles and Plays" offers you the opportunity to learn how to make and take home your own delicious seasonal preserve, enjoy a delicious lunch, and feed your mind as Suzie talks about two of the Shakespearean plays on stage at this year's Festival.
