Stop the Presses! - Goodbye Gazette Party at The Hub

In June 2001, a group of dedicated, community-minded media folk came together to found the Stratford City Gazette. From its humble beginnings in a small office on Ontario Street, the Gazette became an integral part of our community's fabric. From news to arts to sports to community events, its weekly edition and special features became well read and well loved by thousands in Stratford and area.

On November 27, we learned the Stratford Gazette was closing, effective immediately. A sad day, especially for the current staff but also for community as a whole. Community news is so important, and this closure will leave a big gap for many years to come.

There are 16 years of great times to recognize and we want to encourage current and former staff, contributors, advertisers and supporters to join us on December 29 to celebrate exactly what the Gazette has always been about: COMMUNITY.

Gazette reporter extraordinaire Chet Greason will take the stage with Corduroy Gordon for a night of music and memories.

EVERYONE WELCOME!

“Stratford itself is the type of walkable wholesome town Rodgers and Hammerstein might write a musical about.”
