Artistic Welding - Stratford Off the Wall

Artistic Welding with ARTIST INSTRUCTOR: FRANK HOLTE

Frank headed the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Prop Department for 39 seasons. The statue of William Shakespeare in the garden at the Stratford Festivaln is one of his creations.

FOUR-DAY WORKSHOP OVER TWO WEEKENDS

FALL SESSION 1 OCTOBER 21, 22, 28 & 29

FALL SESSION 2 NOVEMBER 11, 12, 18 & 19

Course content is the same for both sessions.

Participants learn bending and welding techniques used in the creation of stage sets. Participants will learn how to safely build their concepts in 3D, using an array of innovative techniques. The courses cover mig and gas welding, brazing and shaping metal.

The low student-to-teacher ratio in each course ensures instruction is geared to the participants' skill level and experience. (Target enrollment: 6 students)

The course fee covers the cost of basic materials required during the course. In this course, participants work on personal projects. Depending on the complexity of those projects, additional costs for materials may be incurred and are the responsibility of the student.
