We're close to the pinacle of the wild mushroom season and with it comes the lure of adventure and the enticement of culinary delicacies. Edible fungi are everywhere, from tender Velvet Foot bursting from dead hardwood to the vibrant blue coloured Blewits that dot the ground on darkened forest floors. Recipes for these tasty morcels are numerous and we will be featuring but a few in our wild lunch menu. Truffle Gouda from Mountainoak Cheese, wild vegan friendly creme of mushroom soup as well as mushroom quiche from Linley's. Baguettess from The Little Green Grocery, tasty desserts from The Black Angus Bakerry along with locally brewed craft beer and wines from Niagara.
So join us on a 2 1/2 hike along Nature's beautiful trails where you will collect your own bounty of wild edibles. Then return to Stratford where an upscale lunch awaits you.
