Proprietors, Susan and Michael Fox, have tried to include everything they themselves look for in fine lodgings when travelling. Susan’s priorities include “really luxurious sheets and towels, a good solid claw foot tub” while Michael looks for “a spacious shower stall with generous flow”. And both agree that being able to walk everywhere is very important. Then, of course there are the basic necessities, like air conditioning and a refrigerator; and the little things, like a reversed osmosis water cooler, microwave, toaster oven, hair dryer, iron and board. “We want our guests to feel as at home here as we do,” says Michael, adding “but with their own separate entrance, they don’t have to put up with us if they don’t want to.”
